Job Description
As a member of the “Professional Services” division, you will develop customer-specific end-to-end solutions using our Java and OSGi-based products for the automotive, mobile handheld or smart home markets. The networking of mobile terminal devices, such as smart phones or telematics clients, with central server systems creates a highly challenging and wide-ranging field of employment with a sound future.

In your position as a programmer and software architect, you will reinforce our customers’ development teams through your established practical and theoretical knowledge of Java applications design and programming. Having a profound skill-set, you are accustomed to support each phase of the software lifecycle, such as specification, design, implemenation, test and integration.

This position is based in Cologne and, as required, directly on-site at our domestic and international customers’ locations.

Qualifications

• Good to very good university degree in computer science, business information systems or electrical engineering
• At least 3 years of practical work experience in the development of embedded Java applications
• Solid knowledge of, and practical experience in, Java, development and modeling methods
• Knowledge and experience related to OSGi and embedded systems desirable (embedded OS, CPU architectures, interfaces)
• Industry segment expertise in either the automotive, mobile handheld or smart home market
• Confident mannerism during technical workshops
• Fluent spoken and written German and English, additional language abilities helpful
• A dedicated team player also accustomed to working independently and autonomously
• Willingness to travel
