Job Description
As a member of the “Professional Services” division, you will develop customer-specific end-to-end solutions using our Java and OSGi-based products for the automotive, mobile handheld or smart home markets. The networking of mobile terminal devices, such as smart phones or telematics clients, with central server systems creates a highly challenging and wide-ranging field of employment with a sound future.

In your capacity as a consultant, you will act as a Software Architect and/or Project Manager for our customers and will support the development process, from requirements analysis to customer-site integration. Besides established technical knowledge of Java and modeling methods, this position requires practical experience in implementing software development processes and in leading and directing project teams. In addition to your technical qualifications, you also have a firm grasp of business principles and are ready to face new topics, responsibilities and challenges.

This position is based in Cologne and, as required, directly on-site at our domestic and international customers’ locations.

Qualifications

• Good to very good university degree in computer science, business information systems or electrical engineering
• At least 4 years of professional experience in the fields of embedded or IT server systems
• Solid knowledge of, and practical experience in, Java, development and modeling methods
• Knowledge and experience related to OSGi and embedded systems desirable
• Industry segment expertise in either the automotive, mobile handheld or smart home market
• Practical experience in managing software projects
• Confident mannerism during technical workshops, negotiations and presentations
• Fluent spoken and written German and English, additional language abilities helpful
• A dedicated team player and also accustomed to working independently and autonomously
• Willingness to travel
