Running as a native process on the embedded target
platform, the mBedded System Agent (mBSA) has two main
functions:
- Management Agent - mBSA serves as management agent of ProSyst's management system (mPRM) and allows operation such
as install/uninstall/update of system components, collecting of status information and providing device configuration.
- Application Management Software (AMS) - mBSA is a framework on top of which the integration of different application models
with the native environment on the device can be realized. This includes, for example, the creation of desktop icons and links for the
OSGi based applications, management of user preferences, software configuration, etc.
The architecture of mBSA allows the installation of only
those plug-ins which are required for a specific use case.
Additional plug-ins for specific customers needs can be
easily developed.
